Q Does it provide life insurance coverage under all events?
Yes! It will cover your life under all events, subject to policy Terms
and Conditions.
Q How much do I need to pay for the policy?
Your account will be deducted for an amount of Rs 3,000 upfront for the entire 1 year cover.
Q How will I know that I am enrolled under the program?
After obtaining your consent for the enrollment through one of the above methods, you will be enrolled under Family Care. Once premium has been deducted from the account, your bank statement will serve as proof of your enrollment.
Q Whom should I contact for the renewal of the cover?
Family Care is an annual policy and will be renewed automatically for the subsequent years if the pricing and terms and conditions remain unchanged.
Q What is the procedure in case I want to cancel the policy?
You may call either SCBPL Phone Banking at 111-002-002 or 0800-66-666 to give notice of cancellations OR write to Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited at the following address:

Q Will I be refunded the premium if I cancel the policy?
In case the cover is cancelled within the first 30 days from the enrollment date, the entire premium will be reversed. However, if you cancel your cover after 30 days, your premium amount for the remaining months will be reversed.
Q How will the claims be settled?
Your appointed beneficiary or authorised representative of the beneficiary is supposed to directly contact NJI Life with the details and documents required to settle the claim. The expected time for settlement of claims may extend up to 15 business days subject to the condition that all requisite documents have been submitted to the insurance company and all terms and conditions have been complied with.
Q Who will be the beneficiary of this cover?
The beneficiary will be anyone who you assign at the time of your enrollment under the Family Care program.
Q Will I be covered at all times?
Yes, you will be covered 24 hours worldwide, once deduction has been made from your account for the policy.
Q How will I be indemnified?
It is a standalone Term Life and Accidental Death insurance providing for an annuity death benefit irrespective of any other term life and personal accident insurance policies / coverage which you may have on your life. However, your beneficiary will be indemnified only once under Family Care.
Q Can I take more than one Family Care policy?
No, only one policy can be taken by you.
Q Who is the underwriter of Family Care Insurance policy?
New Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited (NJI Life), a subsidiary of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED), Switzerland, and a registered company supervised by the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, is the underwriter of Family Care Insurance.
